February is National Marfan Awareness Month and we’re trying to raise $60,000 in our 2012 Annual Have Heart Campaign to expand our outreach and education work all year long.

Today, people with Marfan syndrome or a related disorder are living longer than ever before, but the risk of aortic dissection remains just as dangerous. That’s why our goal is to make sure every doctor in the nation knows about Marfan syndrome. Doctors not only have to recognize it, but also know how to diagnose it. This is especially critical for emergency room doctors and in situations when time makes all the difference.

But we need your help! Your tax-deductible donation will help us near this goal, and literally save lives.
