Workplace giving makes efficient use of donor dollars and many companies encourage employees to donate money to the charity of their choice through programs that they sponsor. Check with your employer to see if they participate in one of the following campaigns:
Health 1st - America's Charities & Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
The NMF now participates in charitable giving campaigns at the workplace as a member of Health 1st - America’s Charities. America’s Charities participates in the U.S. government’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), more than 160 state and local government campaigns and campaigns with corporate employers. America’s Charities makes it easy for federal employees and U.S. military personnel to give to the NMF through the CFC. Just use the NMF’s code, # 11152.
United Way
Check with your employer to see if your company’s United Way Campaign allows employees to choose a specific organization to receive donations. Campaign procedures do differ, but please consider designating the NMF to receive your gift if your company’s policy allows. List the NMF under "donor option" on your pledge card, as the Foundation does not have a national United Way code.
Corporate Employee Gift Programs
Check out if your company has its own independent charitable program. To participate in an Employer Workplace Campaign, designate the National Marfan Foundation under “charity of choice” and remember to provide the NMF’s address (22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050).
If your employer does not have a payroll deduction charitable campaign, or does not offer the option of giving to the NMF, call the Director of Development at 800-8-MARFAN ext. 41 to find out how to bring America’s Charities to your workplace.
Matching Gifts
Contact your Human Resources or Community Relations department to find out if your employer offers a matching gift program. Completing a matching gift form and including it with your donation is an easy way to double your contribution to the NMF.
All gifts made to the NMF through workplace giving are tax deductible.
